Top Three Favorite Fidgets

Sensory seeking children are constantly looking for more sensory input. Most sensory seekers are under-sensitive to input (this may be referred to as “hyposensitivity”), which is why they are often seeking MORE. According to Katie Taylor and her team of child life specialists at @childlifeoncall, a child can be a seeker of one or more of the following systems: Tactile, Visual, Auditory, Smell, Taste, Vestibular, and Proprioception.

Here are three of their favorite fidgets for tactile seekers!

  1.
Squeeze and Pops: Their smooth texture and durability really allow the child to use some strength to push and pull.
  2. Mini Puff Bears
Mini Puffy Bears: With a softer tactile feel, these bears also offer a unique texture that promotes sensory exploration.
  3. Stretchy Pop Robos
Stretchy Pop Robots: These multi textured fidgets allow the child to explore different tactile feels. These also provide a fun sound for !auditory seekers
